Abuelitas Tango

For years I worked with a volunteer group in Loa Angeles that developed and maintained cultural, educational, business, artistic and agricultural exchanges with Argentina. In the course of that work, I heard personal stories of the horrors of Argentina's "Dirty War" that was fought against her own people in the 1970's. When I met an Argentine expatriate in Los Angeles whose mom suffered from early-onset dementia, I realized that her ailment gave me a clue as to how to tell the story of an immigrant family who had lived through the unimaginable "disappearance" of a loved one.
